Sunday, 25th July – State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has revealed on concluding the testing and technical works of the Greater Male’ Interconnection Grid project.
According to the state-owned utility provider, their latest project which is regarded as the largest power project in Maldives, have been successfully implemented integrating Male’ City, Hulhule and Hulhumale’ under the same network.
Meanwhile, STELCO reports on assessing the power output and other technical performance of the network in the upcoming month.
Moreover, the final testing under the project concluded smoothly without glitches on Saturday, 24th July.
Furthermore, the utility provider had affirmed on officially shutting down other power generators operational in the Greater Male’ region which includes smaller power-producers at STELCO “Gaakoshi” venue.
The interconnection project aims to harness electricity through the same network which will limit power failures across the Greater Male’ region.
