The Chief Executive and Managing Director of Bank of Maldives (BML), Mr. Tim Sawyer has presented awards to 61 of the bank’s employees.
Furthermore, the awards were presented to the employees during a special event held at the Manhattan Business Hotel.
At the event, Ms. Zulfa Mohamed, the Customer Service Manager of BML received a special commendation for having served in the bank for 35 years while Ms. Shamsiyya Ibrahim, the Head of Customer Processing received the award for serving at the bank for 30 years.
“Tonight, we are proud to celebrate your dedication and commitment to the bank. Thank you for touching the lives of our customers every day and working so hard with professionalism and commitment to excellence,” Mr. Sawyer said.
“It is indeed an honor to give due recognition and celebrate your role,” he further added while expressing his gratitude to the bank’s long serving employees.
BML is the largest bank in the country making it one of the largest employers in the Maldives as well, while 99% of its employees are locals.
