Bank of Maldives (BML) on Wednesday, 27th October, launched their “BML Rewards” an exclusive loyalty program for its credit card customers.

Moreover, this marks the first of its kind program in the Maldives which was launched in partnership with Giift, a leading loyalty solutions provider in a total of 55 different countries.

The BML Rewards provides opportunity for its target customers to earn points for purchases on credit cards. The points can be then redeemed for a range of benefits which include 900 airlines, 650,000 hotels, car rentals and multiple gift cards from leading brands including Amazon, App Store, iTunes, Google Play, PlayStation among many others.

Furthermore, personal banking customers with American Express, Visa and MasterCard credit cards are eligible to register in the program.

Speaking about this new loyalty rewards program, the BML CEO and Managing Director Mr. Tim Sawyer commented, “we’re delighted to launch the first comprehensive loyalty program in the country which sets a benchmark of world class card privileges and unparalleled value for our credit customers.”

Moreover, he further added “credit cards are a convenient and secure way to pay for everyday purchases, locally and anywhere in the world. We have been working hard over the past few months to bring this loyalty program and I hope to see many customers enjoying BML Rewards.”

Meanwhile, BML is the largest card issuing and acquiring bank in the Maldives with over 300,000 customers and more than 7,000 merchants. The bank is also the exclusive issuer and acquirer for American Express while it is a principle member in the Maldives for both Visa and MasterCard.
