    Agoda becomes associate partner of Maldives Border Miles

    Agoda signs associate partnership agreement with Maldives Border Miles

    Agoda, one of the fastest growing online travel booking platforms, has signed an associate partnership agreement with Maldives Border Miles, the world’s first destination loyalty program for tourists.

    The online signing ceremony between Agoda and Maldives Border Miles took place on Wednesday, 24th November 2021.

    Moreover, the online signing ceremony was honored by the Controller General of Maldives Immigration Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Hussain along with Deputy Minister of Tourism, Dr. Naushad Mohamed and the Chief Executive Officer of Agoda Company Pte. Ltd., Mr. John Brown.

    In addition to this the ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), Mrs. Neesha Shahid as well as Director of Global Government Affairs of Agoda, Mr. Daniel Gelfer and the Country Manager of the company to the Maldives, Mr. Mohamed Amaan.

    Furthermore, this partnership aims to improve the benefits to the members and the partners of the Maldives Border Miles program.

    Agoda is expected to share their expertise for the development of the program as well as facilitate to promote the partners of the online booking platform’s global network. Meanwhile, the popular booking platform will provide exclusive savings to Maldives Border Miles members when they book hotels through Agoda.

    Speaking at the online signing ceremony, the Controller General of Maldives Immigration expected to have 50,000 members of Maldives Border Miles in the “next couple of days.”

    “I’m very optimistic about innovation and the benefit that it’s going to bring in particular to the Maldives,” said Mr. John Brown, CEO of Agoda remarking about the partnership between the booking platform and Maldives Border Miles.

    Since inception on 01st January 2021, Maldives Border Miles has successfully signed on 26 properties as partners, while the program has been “capturing spotlight among the tourists arriving to the Maldives recently.”
