Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has launched a new destination marketing campaign in partnership with FTI, targeting the German market.
The new campaign, launched in late February will run for one month while MMPRC has teamed up with one of the most prominent tour operators in Europe.
The partners will promote the Maldives as a leading “safe haven” destination and aims to thereby, assist the increment in tourist arrivals from the German market. FTI will boost the Maldives’ brand presence in the market and increase brand awareness by showcasing “unique products and experiences available to holidaymakers in the Maldives.”
Moreover, a special emphasis will be given to highlight the Maldives as a tourism safe haven, stressing the safety provided by the unique geographical formation of “interspersed islands and atolls” which provide “natural social distancing.”
FTI will assist MMPRC to create attention-catching advertisements featuring the Maldives and tourism products in the destination will be displayed on FTI’s website and newsletter.
Additionally, the FTI will create a special landing page on their website that will showcase the “jaw-dropping natural scenery of the Maldives with detailed destination information.”
Meanwhile, the German market remains among one of the most consistent traveler markets to the Maldives while in 2021, the island nation welcomed a total of 94,784 tourists from the European nation – this indicates an annual market share of 7.4%.
