Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has won two prestigious awards at the Global MICE Congress & Awards 2022.

The awarding event was held on 22nd of March at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai, India.

In addition to the tourism promoter landing the accolades, Maldives won the title of “Most Preferred Tourist Destination 2021” while MMPRC landed the award for “Best Marketing Initiative of the Year” for the tourism promoter’s “Redefining MICE” campaign.

MMPRC’s “Redefining MICE” program was launched on the sidelines of the MILT Congress 2021, held earlier last year in India. According to the tourism promoter, the concept “aims to redefine the ideas in the current market regarding traveling to conduct meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) activities.

The campaign focused on the natural advantages of the Maldives with regards to safety, seclusion, and privacy.

This year marks the fourth edition of the Global MICE Congress & Awards, which is organized by prominent industry professionals with over 29 years of experience in conducting events in 23 states of India and 18 countries globally.

The organizers are also responsible for several celebrated events such as the World Marketing Congress and CMO Asia.

Moreover, the Global MICE Congress & Awards are “independent brand recognition exercise initiated to give recognition to those brands and marketers who have achieved extraordinary success from innovative and effective marketing practices in the world.”

According to the organizers, the awarding event aims to educate and disseminate the “importance of branding in the world.”

Earlier, Maldives was recognized as the “World’s Leading Destination” at the World Travel Awards (WTA) for two consecutive years; in 2020 and 2021, while MMPRC had won the “Indian Ocean’s Leading Tourist Board” at the event; giving the country and the tourism promoter the edge to land their respective accolades at the Global MICE Congress & Awards.
