    Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) participated in the Riyadh Travel Fair 2022, which was held from 22nd to 24th May.

    The travel fair held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is regarded as one of the largest travel trade events in the region with Middle-Eastern travel trades and travel market as the primary focus.

    The annually held fair brings in some of the major names in the global travel and tourism industry which includes Saudi local ventures and GCC corporations in the travel trade field.

    MMPRC along with several industry partners took part in the event, which included some of the major tour operators and hoteliers such as Bliss Maldives, Exciting Travel Holidays, Get Me to Maldives, Intour Maldives, Island Life Travel Pvt Ltd, Lily Hotels Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa, Malahini Kuda Bandos, Travel Connection Maldives, Travel Escapes Maldives, Holiday Spot Maldives, and Villa Hotels & Resorts.

    During the fair, MMPRC promoted the Maldivian tourism industry with strong focus on the country’s unique geographical structure that ensures safety, privacy and natural social distancing.

    Apart from MMPRC promoting the Maldives as a destination, industry partners shared their respective services, travel packages, and other major features of their properties to the Middle-Eastern travel market.

    MMPRC’s participation in the event comes as part of its strategy to boost tourism popularity and destination awareness in the Middle-Eastern countries.

    The Middle-East is regarded as a strong-emerging tourism market to the Maldives while in 2021 a total of 91,413 travelers from the region were reported of flying into the island nation.
