    HDC to open applications for Vinares Flats in June

    HDC to open applications for Vinares Housing Flats

    Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced it will be opening the applications for the Vinares housing flats.

    The housing flats, developed at Hulhumale’ Phase II are reserved for Male’ registered residents. In addition to this, 100 apartments from the housing units have also been reserved for individuals who are not registered in Male’, but living in the city for a total of 15 years.

    The eligible applicants must fulfill a set of criteria which include;

    • Must be a registered resident of Male’ City
    • Not bound to an agreement to purchase a housing unit, land or plot from Male’ City of more than 600 square feet
    • Not making payments for the purchase of a housing unit, land or plot from Male’ city of more than 600 square feet
    • Not sold any residential property of 600 feet or more in Male’ city within past three years
    • Not holding previous ownership of a housing under any government housing project

    According to HDC, the Vinares housing flats are focused to middle-class category residents.

    The Vinares housing towers reportedly have 1,344 three-bedroom apartments with each apartment between the size of 883 to 902 square feet in size, while development of the towers began during former president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s administration.

    The Vinares project consists of 10 housing towers with 13 stories in each, while apartment units will be sold between MVR2.5 million and MVR2.7 million.
