The Maldives government announced seeking consultancy services for the design and supervision of the 400 housing units at Hulhumale’.
The initiative titled Affordable Housing Scheme Project is funded by the Saudi Fund for Development (SDF).
The successful consultancy firm selected for the project will be required to prepare the tender documents, undertake and prepare Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report, review detailed design, and supervise contractors’ works.
The firm will be selected according to the Quality and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) policy of the Ministry of Finance, in accordance with the procedure specified by SDF’s “Guideline for the use of Consultants”. The ministry also confirmed that the Terms of Reference (TOR) for the assignment, which also includes the shortlisting criteria, have been made available on its website.
Interested consulting firms must submit their expression of interest in a hard copy to the ministry before 13:00hrs on 28th April 2023.
The ministry also said that consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but this should be clearly indicated in the form of a joint venture or sub-consultancy. Moreover, in the case of a joint venture, all partners of it will be jointly and severally liable for the entire project if selected.
