This include amounts recovered under:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dunning: MVR 514,822,606<\/li>\n<li>Dues Clearance: MVR 91,874,086<\/li>\n<li>Account Freezing Policy: MVR 20,549,377<\/li>\n<li>MIRA Arrears: MVR 11,924,177<\/li>\n<li>Reminder calls\/emails: MVR 135,439<\/li>\n<li>Legal Action: MVR 10,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The inland revenue authority also issued final notices to 10,796 non-filers and 8,947 non-complaint payers. MIRA also granted installment plans to 162 taxpayers, who collectively owe MVR 363,819,240.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the significant recovery in Q2, the total arrears as of June 30, 2024 stood at over MVR 10 billion; including MVR 5.5 billion in tax dues and another MVR 4.5 billion in non-tax dues.
