{"id":1541,"date":"2021-07-21T15:22:17","date_gmt":"2021-07-21T10:22:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=1541"},"modified":"2021-07-21T15:22:17","modified_gmt":"2021-07-21T10:22:17","slug":"stelco-resumes-power-in-male-city-follow-sudden-outage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=1541","title":{"rendered":"STELCO resumes power in Male&#8217; City follow sudden outage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Wed<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 14px; color: var(--c-contrast-800);\"><strong>nesday, 21st July-<\/strong> State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has resumed electricity across Male&#8217; City following power outage earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to the utility corporation the Maldives capital experienced sudden power failure because of a technical mishap during circuit-energizing done on the Greater Male&#8217; electrical grid.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, STELCO reports that the Greater Male&#8217; Electricity Grid project is by far the largest such energy project executed in Maldives.<\/p>\n<p>The utility provider had further notified on possible power cuts in the future during the testing phase before the unified electrical grid in Greater Male&#8217; Region becomes fully functional. Moreover, the electricity grid is expected to run at full capacity sometime in the near future, though an official date has not been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, STELCO has confirmed that the corporation was working towards culminating the testing phase. In addition to this, the power provider has attested on notifying the public via their social media handles should Greater Male&#8217; Region experience similar power failures in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>The Greater Male&#8217; Electricity Grid project had commenced earlier on 17th July, while STELCO had cautioned the public on possible electricity failures across the Maldives capital on project commencement date as well as on Wednesday, 21st July.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wednesday, 21st July- State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has resumed electricity across Male&#8217; City following power outage earlier.
