Muli, Meemu Atoll<\/strong> \u2013 The Muli Island Council has extended heartfelt appreciation to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, acknowledging the completion of Muli Airport as a historic milestone and the fulfillment of a decades-long aspiration for the island\u2019s residents.<\/p>\n

The expression of gratitude came during a meeting held this afternoon at the Secretariat of the Meemu Atoll Council. President Muizzu met with representatives of the Muli Island Council, the Women\u2019s Development Committee (WDC), and other community leaders as part of his official visit to the atoll.<\/p>\n

Council members lauded the President for delivering a key piece of infrastructure that residents had awaited for over 30 years. They also used the occasion to raise additional developmental priorities, including the installation of air-conditioning in school classrooms, the introduction of local rehabilitation services, and the need for comprehensive training programs to bolster human resource development.<\/p>\n

Further discussions included proposals for a dedicated picnic island for the local community, as well as calls for enhancements in tourism, healthcare, and sports infrastructure on Muli.<\/p>\n

President Muizzu responded with assurance that the government remains committed to addressing the island’s evolving needs. He emphasized that the concerns raised would be carefully reviewed and acted upon.
