{"id":16210,"date":"2025-06-29T11:17:02","date_gmt":"2025-06-29T06:17:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=16210"},"modified":"2025-06-29T11:17:02","modified_gmt":"2025-06-29T06:17:02","slug":"macl-conducts-familiarization-tours-for-stakeholders-36-airlines-included","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=16210","title":{"rendered":"MACL conducts familiarization tours for stakeholders, 36 airlines included"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) successfully conducted comprehensive familiarization tours for 45 stakeholders including 36 airlines.<\/p>\n<p>The familiarization tours were conducted in preparation for the opening of the new passenger terminal at Velana International Airport (VIA), scheduled to commence operations on July 26, 2025 &#8211; coinciding with the Maldives Independence Day.<\/p>\n<p>These tours focused on the new terminal&#8217;s facilities and operations, ensuring seamless service delivery without any operational disruptions. The sessions were part of ORAT procedures and protocols required before the terminal&#8217;s official opening.<\/p>\n<p>The familiarization tours covered a broad spectrum of aviation industry participants, that included airlines operating in the Maldives, general aviation agents, relevant government agencies, resort representatives, taxi operators, guesthouse associations, and MACL staff members.<\/p>\n<p>To date, MACL have conducted familiarization tours for 36 airlines, seven General Aviation Agents, Maldives Immigration, Maldives National Air Traffic Services, and over 1000 MACL employees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) successfully conducted comprehensive familiarization tours for 45 stakeholders including 36 airlines.
