President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has underscored the need to prioritise national unity and development over political divisions, declaring that patriotism must take precedence over political currents.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the residents of Velidhoo as part of his official visit to the inhabited islands of South Miladhunmadulu Atoll, the President delivered a strong message urging elected officials and local leaders to set aside political differences for the greater good of the nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cPolitical affiliations must not hinder the responsibilities of elected office,\u201d President Muizzu stated. \u201cThe success of our developmental agenda depends on the united support of Parliament Members and Councillors across party lines.\u201d<\/p>\n
Addressing the community gathered in Velidhoo, the President made a passionate appeal for cooperation and collective action. He urged public officials to work together, regardless of conflicting views, to fully realise the government’s plans for economic and social progress in the region.<\/p>\n
Reaffirming his commitment to national unity, President Muizzu stated that true patriotism lies in putting the country\u2019s interests ahead of personal or political ambitions.
