Baa Atoll, Maldives \u2014<\/strong> President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has pledged to replace exclusionary policies with an inclusive, citizen-focused approach as part of his administration\u2019s strategy to achieve national development goals.<\/p>\n

Speaking to residents of Kamadhoo Island during his ongoing tour of Baa Atoll, the President acknowledged that the island had been overlooked in the past and vowed to ensure it receives the attention and resources it needs.<\/p>\n

Reaffirming his commitment to tangible, people-driven progress, Dr Muizzu announced that the government will prioritise development projects across key sectors, including health, education, and sports. He confirmed that work on Kamadhoo\u2019s football grounds will move ahead as promised.<\/p>\n

The President also emphasised his support for the island\u2019s thriving local tourism industry, pledging to integrate community input into upcoming road construction plans. He further committed to implementing a sustainable solution to land erosion and confirmed the government\u2019s intention to build a harbour for the island.<\/p>\n

As part of the visit, two major agreements were signed to advance Kamadhoo\u2019s development. The first, for the construction of a new school facility, was signed by Minister of Education Dr Ismail Shafeeu and Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation Managing Director Hamdhan Shakeel. The second, introducing seaplane services to the island, was signed by Island Aviation Services Limited Managing Director Ibrahim Iyas and Hawks Hotel Director Hussain Aman.<\/p>\n

President Muizzu said the new school building would meet Kamadhoo\u2019s growing educational needs, while the introduction of seaplane services would boost connectivity and stimulate economic growth.<\/p>\n
