An official from the authority who spoke with a local media said that eight households out of the 38 apartments affected in the fire, declined their assistance.<\/p>\n<p>The official further confirms using the funds to provide essential food and accommodation for the affected parties. The financial disbursement reportedly will cover temporary accommodation for a period of five days.<\/p>\n<p>This is the largest displacement of residents requiring temporary housing since the major warehouse fire at Thilafushi in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The fire caused significant structural damage, including destruction of sewage pipes across 38 flats and the total loss of 34 air conditioning outdoor units.
