Of that amount, MVR 13,896,000 was allocated directly for disbursement to registered recipients.<\/p>\n<p>To broaden access and simplify the contribution process, the Zakat House accepted payments through seven digital platforms. A dedicated portal was also introduced for island councils to deposit cash Zakat collected from their communities, catering to those unable to make payments online. In the Greater Male&#8217; Area, contributions were also received in person via cash and card at the Islamic Center hall.
