This indicates a 5% increase.<\/p>\n<p>By the end of 2025, the total receivables stood at MVR 13.8 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The largest portion of uncollected revenue stems from taxes. The pending amount of taxes increased from MVR 7.8 billion to MVR 8.2 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Income Tax receivables rose to MVR 2.4 billion, while pending General Goods and Services Tax (GGST) reached MVR 3.5 billion. Unpaid Tourism Goods and Services Tax (TGST) stands at MVR 1.6 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In the first quarter of this year, unpaid resort lease rent increased from MVR 5.7 billion to MVR 6 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the total uncollected amount surging, MIRA recovered MVR 2 billion in overdue payments during the first quarter. These funds were primarily recovered through legal notices and by freezing bank accounts.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, unpaid revenue owed to the state by State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) increased from MVR 2.4 billion to MVR 3.5 billion, of which tax obligations account for MVR 3.3 billion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The total amount of uncollected state revenue in taxes, rent, and fees increases reaching MVR 14.5 billion.
