{"id":17461,"date":"2026-07-29T08:25:27","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T03:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=17461"},"modified":"2026-07-29T08:25:27","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T03:25:27","slug":"applications-open-for-mib-guesthouse-awards-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=17461","title":{"rendered":"Applications Open for MIB Guesthouse Awards 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Applications are now open for the inaugural edition of the &#8220;MIB Guesthouse Awards 2026&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>According to the organizer, the Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB), guesthouses can apply across eight main categories to compete for the awards.<\/p>\n<p>The categories open for guesthouses are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Service Excellence and Hospitality:<\/strong> for guesthouses providing the highest standard of hospitality and service quality<\/li>\n<li><strong>Authentic Maldivian Experience:<\/strong> for guesthouses that best showcase Maldivian culture, cuisine, and traditions<\/li>\n<li><strong>Island Excursions and Experiences:<\/strong> for providers offering safe and exceptional maritime activities and island tours<\/li>\n<li><strong>Culinary Experience:<\/strong> for guesthouses offering outstanding dining services with an emphasis on Maldivian flavors<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eco-Friendly Award:<\/strong> recognizes the properties prioritizing environmental protection, waste reduction, and energy conservation<\/li>\n<li><strong>Community Impact Award:<\/strong> for properties contributing to the island&#8217;s social and economic growth and creating job opportunities<\/li>\n<li><strong>Digital Presence Award:<\/strong> for guesthouses successfully utilizing social media and digital platforms for business promotion<\/li>\n<li><strong>Iconic Marine and Dive Experience Award:<\/strong> for providers delivering safe and eco-friendly underwater and diving activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>MIB affirms these awards will be judged transparently, based on submitted evidence and documentation.
