The change will take effect from Saturday, November 07 onwards.<\/p>\n<p>Until the matter is resolved, Maldives Gas will continue refueling 7kg of gas into 10kg cylinders, and 14kg gas into 22kg cylinders. Additionally, the company will refill 31kg of gas into 45kg cylinders.<\/p>\n<p>While the refilling quantities have been reduced, Maldives Gas affirms unit price of gas will remain unchanged. Customers will be charged based on actual weight of the gas filled under the currently established rate per kilogram.<\/p>\n<p>Maldives Gas affirms this is a temporary change, and further said that the government is currently seeking bulk procurement and three-month storage supply of gas. Once these plans come into effect, Maldives Gas expects a permanent solution to the ongoing challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Import of gas is facing difficulties due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
