Moreover, the airline&#8217;s Acting Chief Executive Waleed Al-Alawi confirms their decision reflects on the increment of tourist demand to travel to the island nation through the airline.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in 2020, the Gulf Air paused their operations to Maldives following the island nation government&#8217;s decision on a border closure that lasted for nearly four months.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, Gulf Air was among the first international carriers to resume their operations to Maldives following the border reopening in July 2020.
