India’s full-service carrier, Vistara Airline has restarted their Maldivian flight operations officially on 02nd September 2021.<\/p>\n
Earlier, the airline had maintained its flights to the Maldives amid the Covid-19 pandemic’s peak 2021, during March, operating between Mumbai and Male’. Moreover, during their operations prior to the travel restrictions, they had operated 3 flights per week with regards to the ‘air bubble’ agreement made between Maldives and India.<\/p>\n
However, the airline’s operations had come to a halt in May 2021 due to the travel restrictions on South Asian countries inclusive of Maldives amid a resurgence of Covid-19 positive cases.<\/p>\n
India’s Vistara Airlines is the result of a joint venture between the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, and it is the highest rated Indian airline on Skytrax and TripAdvisor while being a recipient of multiple ‘Best Airline’ accolades.<\/p>\n
Vistara Airline’s resumption of their operations to Maldives, adds to the list of airlines operating directly from parts of India to Maldives, increasing the total to four.<\/p>\n
