{"id":3759,"date":"2022-07-28T19:29:25","date_gmt":"2022-07-28T14:29:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=3759"},"modified":"2022-07-28T19:29:25","modified_gmt":"2022-07-28T14:29:25","slug":"universal-enterprises-sells-two-of-its-major-properties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=3759","title":{"rendered":"Universal Enterprises sells two of its major properties"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Maldives hospitality powerhouse, Universal Enterprises sells two of their prized tourism assets; W Maldives and Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort &amp; Spa to KSL Capital Partners.<\/p>\n<p>The properties, leased to Marriott International, the largest hotelier in the world, have been some of the most coveted tourist properties in the island nation.<\/p>\n<p>JLL, the investment advisor assisting Universal Enterprises with the trade, announced in June, of selling the properties.<\/p>\n<p>KSL Capital Partners, LLC on Thursday, July 28, announces its affiliates acquiring both W Maldives and Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort &amp; Spa; both run under a joint venture of Universal and Marriott.<\/p>\n<p>Following the proprietorship change after the new acquisition, Marriott will reportedly still retain management of the properties under their existing brands.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, KSL remains focused on expanding their investment portfolio in well-located, high-quality travel and leisure properties.
