President Solih made the comments on Monday evening at the special ceremony held to commemorate tourism golden jubilee.<\/p>\n<p>The event was held at Kurumba Maldives, which is the first ever tourist resort to open in the island nation.<\/p>\n<p>In his speech, president Solih identified the importance of creating synergy between the government and private sector businesses. According to him, the government took the proper decision to not exercise control in industries with major private sector stakes.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, President Solih argued the government&#8217;s role was that of a policymaker.
