According to the most recent update from Ministry of Finance, Goods and Services Tax (GST) has reached an annual total of MVR7.4 billion, as of 13th October.<\/p>\n

The ministry made the confirmation on its most recent Weekly Fiscal Developments.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Business and Property Tax has reached a collective total of MVR3.9 billion. Import Duties collected to the state is at MVR2.4 billion.<\/p>\n

The major tax revenue sources to the state, as of 13th October are;<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Tourism Goods and Services Tax (TGST) – MVR5.1 billion<\/li>\n
  2. Import Duties – MVR2.4 billion<\/li>\n
  3. General Goods and Services Tax (GGST) – MVR2.3 billion<\/li>\n
  4. Business Profit Tax (BPT) – MVR2.04 billion<\/li>\n
  5. Green Tax – MVR764.0 million<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    On the other hand, the major non-tax revenue categories to the state include;<\/p>\n

    1. Rent from Resorts – MVRMVR1.49 billion<\/li>\n
    2. Airport Development Fee – MVR627.9 million<\/li>\n
    3. Registration and License Fees – MVR614.6 million<\/li>\n
    4. SOE Dividends – MVR529.7 million<\/li>\n
