Bank of Maldives announce the winners of their Small Grants Fund.<\/p>\n

The fund was introduced as part of the series of 12 high-impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate the bank’s 40th anniversary, celebrated this year.<\/p>\n

The Small Grants Fund was announced to support local non-government organizations (NGOs) to implement community-based projects. These projects, according to the bank guidelines should focus on addressing environmental issues and promoting sustainable development.<\/p>\n

The winners will receive a grant of MVR250,000 each, to implement their plans.<\/p>\n

The eight winners include;<\/p>\n

  1. Maldives Ocean Plastic Alliance (MOPA)<\/li>\n
  2. Huvadhoo Association for Tourism (HAT)<\/li>\n
  3. Vaadhoo Association for Future Development (VAFD)<\/li>\n
  4. Kumundhoo Revival Initiative (Kurevi)<\/li>\n
  5. Women in Fuvahmulah<\/li>\n
  6. Small Island Research Group<\/li>\n
  7. Huvadhoo Aid<\/li>\n
