Statistics also confirmed the strongest arrival numbers from European markets, with Middle-Eastern markets in the second spot.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the airport has already observed 26 private jet landings so far in 2023, while IAS said more landings are expected for the month.<\/p>\n<p>Maafaru International Airport observes significant jet landings outside of Velana International Airport (VIA); the main air gateway of the Maldives, owing to a large collection of world-class tourist resorts located in Noonu atoll.<\/p>\n<p>The airport opened officially in 2019 and transitioned into an international airport on 01st July 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Noonu atoll is home to some of the world&#8217;s most famous tourist properties which include Velaa Private Island, Cheval Blanc Randheli, Siyam World, and Soneva Jani among others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Statistics indicate Maafaru International Airport recorded 228 private jet landings in 2022.
