Other notable price increases were observed in tobacco and areca nut prices by 4.34%; fish by 1.65%; transport sector by 1.03%, personal care, and social protection prices went up by 1.93%, and insurance and financial services observed a 2.84% increment.<\/p>\n<p>While the CPI for all groups increased to 0.96% in the review month from 0.49% in December 2022, the CPI for all groups rose by 3.99% through the year to January 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of the Maldives has risen by 0.96% in January 2023 from December 2022.
