{"id":5514,"date":"2023-03-14T07:27:11","date_gmt":"2023-03-14T02:27:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=5514"},"modified":"2023-03-14T07:27:11","modified_gmt":"2023-03-14T02:27:11","slug":"bml-introduces-additional-login-notifications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=5514","title":{"rendered":"BML introduces additional login notifications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Bank of Maldives (BML) enabled email alerts for all failed login attempts on the Internet or Mobile Banking.<\/p>\n<p>The login notification feature was added as a further step to protect customers, while an additional email alert will be sent if the Internet or Mobile Banking is disabled following three consecutive failed login attempts.<\/p>\n<p>BML said the notifications have been enabled to ensure customers are made aware of any attempts to log in to their Internet and Mobile Banking and will be sent to registered email addresses.<\/p>\n<p>Customers are advised to change passwords immediately if they notice any unusual login activity.<\/p>\n<p>The bank has taken several steps to protect customers from scams. BML earlier announced One Time Passwords (OTPs) for all Scan to Pay payments and introduced authenticator apps to generate OTPs before that.<\/p>\n<p>BML also disabled email as a default OTP channel to further enhance security measures, and has begun sending login alerts as well as push notifications for all Internet and Mobile Banking transactions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bank of Maldives (BML) enabled email alerts for all failed login attempts on the Internet or Mobile Banking.
