State Electric Company (STELCO) recently concluded its “Leadership Management and Capacity Building” training.<\/p>\n

The training program was focused on the senior-most officers of the company’s powerhouse units in various atolls. The convocation ceremony was held last Sunday, 19th March with participants receiving a certificate of completion.<\/p>\n

Participants received the certificates from the company’s chairman of the board of directors Retired Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Didi, board members Ahmed Latheef, and Retired Major Tholhath Hassan.<\/p>\n

A total of 31 members participated in the training program.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the convocation ceremony held at AA. Ukulhas Convention Center, STELCO’s Human Resources and Training Department’s HOD Hussain Faruhad said the training program was facilitated to build the capacities of its executive-level members. He further said the program was the culmination of STELCO Managing Director Ahmed Shareef’s vision for service excellence and growth.<\/p>\n

STELCO’s MD Shareef, while addressing the participants, highlighted the importance of the training, and added that the company prioritized developing its human assets.<\/p>\n

“As the country’s President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih once pointed out, the key to an organization’s growth is through the development of its employees, which is its strongest asset,” Shareef added.<\/p>\n

While speaking about the importance of employees in managerial positions and their responsibilities, Shareef said the training program will help in improving the service quality of STELCO. He also added the program would assist its participants to become critical thinkers allowing them to adjust powerhouse operations according to the respective socio-economic environment of the islands.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
