Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has stated that the outstanding bills from previous months will not be tied into the new combined utility bill by the State Electric Company (STELCO).<\/p>\n
WAMCO began including waste collection fees in STELCO’s utility bills from 01st April onwards.<\/p>\n
The charges have been combined into a single utility bill to resolve the issue of outstanding payments to WAMCO by customers. An official from WAMCO also clarified that outstanding bills can still be settled through ‘AvasPay’.<\/p>\n
“Any previous outstanding bill will no be tied to the STELCO utility bill”, they added.<\/p>\n
Before WAMCO tied its bills to STELCO’s, the corporation urged its customers and registered residences to update their information. WAMCO added that all customers are required to submit the “Utility Meter Exclusion Form” to exclude maintenance, service, booster bump, and telecom meters from WAMCO’s billing list.<\/p>\n
The corporation further requested companies managing commercial residential buildings to fill out and submit the “Primary Meter Identification and Grouping Form.”<\/p>\n
Businesses and institutions, registered with WAMCO, must fill out the “Information Update Form” and must submit it before 06th April; failure to do so will result in service cancellation.<\/p>\n
WAMCO began charging a Household Waste Collection Service Fee of MVR4.93 per day for the STELCO bill duration.<\/p>\n
In addition to this, the corporation assured that waste fees would not be charged on idle electricity meters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
