{"id":8471,"date":"2023-12-31T14:27:57","date_gmt":"2023-12-31T09:27:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=8471"},"modified":"2023-12-31T14:27:57","modified_gmt":"2023-12-31T09:27:57","slug":"via-prepares-for-peak-winter-season-readies-to-welcome-larger-traveler-groups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=8471","title":{"rendered":"VIA prepares for peak winter season, readies to welcome larger traveler groups"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has said that with the development of new parking avenues, the Velana International Airport (VIA) is ready for tourism peak season.<\/p>\n<p>A press release by MACL said VIA has leveraged its new parking slots (RAMP areas) at the international airport venue to prepare for the winter tourism peak which would be able to accommodate a total of 68 jets; a historic number for the airport. MACL further said the accomplishment was testament to the efficiency and capacity enhancements brought about by the newly designated parking areas for the General Aviation aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>Before the new parking slots were developed, VIA had the capacity to accommodate 39 aircraft.
