{"id":9595,"date":"2024-06-03T11:30:48","date_gmt":"2024-06-03T06:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=9595"},"modified":"2024-06-03T11:30:48","modified_gmt":"2024-06-03T06:30:48","slug":"eu-provides-eur6-5-mn-to-strengthen-maldives-blue-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbt.mv\/?p=9595","title":{"rendered":"EU provides EUR6.5 Mn to strengthen Maldives blue economy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Maldives government has signed a Financing Agreement with the European Union (EU), which would allocate EUR 6.5 million aimed at strengthening the blue economy of the Indian Ocean archipelago.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was signed during the discussion meeting held between the Maldives Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer and the Deputy Managing Director of the Asia and Pacific Department of the European External Action Service Paola Pampaloni, held on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>At the meeting, the two reflected on the significant developments brought forward through the cooperation between the Maldives and the EU.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Zameer expressed gratitude for EU&#8217;s comprehensive support, offered for the country&#8217;s economy and contributions for climate resilient socioeconomic development in the Maldives.
