JA Resorts & Hotels has appointed Jason Kruse as the new General Manager of JA Manafaru, a private island resort in the Maldives’ Haa Alif Atoll. With over two decades of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, Jason has held prestigious leadership roles across various properties in Australia and the Maldives.
Previously, Jason served as the General Manager at Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences, where he successfully enhanced the luxury resort’s guest experience over a period of three and a half years. He also played a pivotal role in the preopening team of the environmentally conscious Six Senses resort in Fiji. Additionally, Jason has valuable experience from his time at Universal Resort’s Kurumba Maldives, Casa Del Mar in Langkawi, Malaysia, and The Breezes Resort in Bali, Indonesia.
According to Nelson Gibb, the Group CEO of Group Development at JA Resorts & Hotels, Jason’s extensive background in luxury resorts, especially island destinations, will be a valuable asset to the talented team at JA Manafaru. The resort aims to further enhance its reputation for providing exceptional services and unique guest experiences. Jason’s commitment to sustainability aligns with the company’s vision, and he will be supported by his wife, Victoria, who joins as the Sustainability and Environmental advisor.
