Students of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies (FHTS), Maldives National University (MNU) have announced a tourism industry appreciation and recognition fair.
Dubbed “Arutha”, the fair commemorating 50 years of Maldives tourism industry will be held at Manhattan Business Hotel’s banquet hall on 25th November 2022.
A statement from FHTS students read that the with the event, the students “hope to aspire youth seeking a future in the Maldivian tourism industry, acknowledge the contributions by tourism stakeholders, travel trades and other affiliates” as well creating a memorable experience for everyone.
Attendants to the event will include key tourism industry figures, prominent and well known hospitality industry auteurs and entrepreneurs as well as industry magnates.
Stalls at the “Arutha” event will “categorically distinguish the five phases of tourism development in the Maldives”. Entertainment features of the event include traditional boduberu, folklore while food catering will keep the attendees jovial.
