Sunday, 25th July – The Chief Executive Officer of MTCC Mr. Adam Azim had visited the site of Shaviyani atoll Bilehfahi harbor development project for an inspection.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) had confirmed on commencing the installation of precast concrete blocks for the quay wall – one of the major work scopes under the project.
Meanwhile, the contractor revealed the project’s other work scopes addressing the dredging and excavation operations which spans 24,125 cubic meters in volume.
Additional components under the harbor development project include the construction a 376-meter breakwater and the installation of a paved area spanning 1,150 square meters along with installation of street lights at the harbor grounds.
The quay wall, which the contractor is currently executing will measure 98-meters upon completion and the project reportedly is valued at MVR28.42 million.
