The State Electric Company (STELCO) has signed an agreement with Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on relocation the utility provider’s fuel pump station.
The agreement was signed between STELCO and MTCC on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at a special ceremony held for the occasion. MTCC Chief Executive Officer Abdulla Ziyad signed on behalf of the contracting company while STELCO Managing Director Hussain Fahmy signed on behalf of the utility provider.
The project scope entails demolition of the existing structure in harbor basin along with the development or construction of a 29-meter quay wall, 103-square-meter backfill operation, 50.44-square-meter paving operation, and installation of two mooring bollards as well as the construction of the new pump station building.
The project cost is MVR 7.14 million, while the contractor, MTCC is conditioned with completing the project within 90 days.
