Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) has welcomed its newest addition to their ever-expanding fleet.
The newest inclusion comes ahead of the tourism peak season.
The largest seaplane operator in the world brought a new De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otters. This marks the 59th addition to the fleet. The newest addition landed at Velana International Airport (VIA) in Friday, 12th August 2022.
The seaplane operator has been extending its fleet to keep up with the growing demand for seaplanes. The demand soared thanks to rising number of tourist arrivals to the Maldives along with new resort openings.
TMA had already brought three aircraft to its fleet since the Maldives re-opened its borders following the Covid-19 pandemic.
