The Maldives pavilion is open to welcome visitors at the Expo 2020 Dubai, while the country is represented at the pavilion by Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Tourism and Visit Maldives.
The Expo 2020 Dubai or more commonly referred as World Expo, held at Dubai, United Arab Emirates will run for a six-month duration. The fair commenced on 01st October and will last until 31st March 2022.
Moreover, this year’s expo theme is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” while the fair provides a strong platform for exhibitors and industry affiliates to showcase destinations, latest innovations and detail out potential investment opportunities under three major themes; Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity.
The World Expo is reported to attract exhibitors from 192 countries while an estimated total of 25 million visitors are expected to experience the fair during its entire run.
Meanwhile, Maldives’ pavilion is promoted under the Sustainability theme by Visit Maldives along with the ministries. The pavilion will showcase the unique beauty of the Maldives and enhance the tourism brand’s visibility and share investment opportunities available in the country.
Furthermore, Visit Maldives will host a give away with exciting raffles to lucky winners every week throughout the fair’s duration under the title “Win 100 days of Free Holidays in the Maldives” granting 100 lucky winners with free stays in the country.
Apart from exhibiting at the expo, Visit Maldives is conducting a visibility campaign at the Dubai Mall, which will run for a three-month period where the destination will be showcased on 384 screens.
This campaign aims to attract potential travelers and visitors to the Maldives pavilion at the World Expo.
