Wednesday, 21st July – Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) announces their latest destination promotion project reaching out to the far-east.
According to the premier tourism promotion body, Maldives will receive tourism exposure at South Korea under the new campaign.
While the campaign has commenced at South Korea already, it has been reported that the promotion is carried out in collaboration with one of the most popular tourism agencies in the country; Palm Tours.
Moreover, MMPRC confirms their destination promotion will focus on selling the peace and tranquil hotel offerings in Maldives which are considered as top picks for honeymoon retreats.
Under the campaign, Palm Tours will run the promotional content of Maldives on the largest banner available in the tour agency’s website. Moreover, the tourism promotional content will be linked via the social media handles used by MMPRC at South Korea.
MMPRC will be promoting Maldives as a top honeymoon destination at the special event slated from 21st until 22nd July at South Korea. At the event, MMPRC is expected to boost exposure of the island nation’s most iconic tourism feature via advertisements and product reviews.
The destination promotion campaign at the Far East is expected to drive up tourism bookings from the region.
The tourism promotion campaign at South Korea has coincided a time when the country’s tourist influx to Maldives has dwindled considerably. Meanwhile, back in 2019 the total tourist arrivals from the East Asian nation to Maldives stood at 36,609 – marking it as the 12th strongest tourist market to the island nation.
