Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM), a subsidiary of the State Trading Organization (STO) Friday confirms the inauguration of a new fuel outlet outside of Greater Male’ region.

The nationwide fuel supplier has opened its latest outlet in Noonu Atoll Manadhoo. This addition is a testament to the current administration’s commitment towards easing fuel access to local fishers who both reside in and travel across various parts of the country for their labor.

Parent company STO assisted FSM in their efforts to construct and develop this fuel station in Manadhoo. They inaugurated the fuel station in a special ceremony held for the occasion.

Manadhoo MP Husnee Mubarik graced the opening event as chief guest.

The event also saw in its attendance the seniors of Manadhoo island council along with locals of the island.

FSM reports that fishers and others acquiring the fuel station’s services will get diesel at the same rate as Greater Male’ region. It also adds this addition reflects President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and his administration’s commitment towards enhancing the livelihood of the public and local fishers.

The station also sits at an ideal location for fishers traveling or operating in the area from different locations besides Manadhoo.
