Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has teamed up with Kuoni UK for a new destination promotion campaign targeting the UK market.

The campaign which kicked off on Monday, 28th February 2022, will last for one month while the partners aim to promote the Maldives as the “ideal travel destination that caters to the needs and wants of travelers in the era of the new normal.”

Under the campaign, Maldives will be marketed as a safe haven destination for tourists, while the unique experiences of the island nation will be showcased as well.

MMPRC in partnership with Kuoni UK will showcase the different tourist properties in the Maldives with dedicated emails sent to the Kuoni database. In addition to this, advertisements, homepage banners, and inspirational articles on the Maldives will be posted and shared across Kuoni’s social media platforms.

Additionally, classified advertisements will be posted on the Sunday Telegraph while in-store video material featuring the Maldives will be displayed across 26 stores in the UK.

The United Kingdom is among the strongest source markets to the Maldives, and so far in 2022, the island nation has welcomed a total of 28,569 travelers from the European nation.

Meanwhile, MMPRC held several promotional activities and campaigns during 2021 to attract travelers from the UK, which includes the National Wedding Show, WTM London 2021, and MICE Roadshow.
