Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has launched a new destination promotion campaign in partnership with American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA).

According to the top tourism promoter of the Maldives, the new marketing initiative will be a year-long event with astute focus on the US traveler market. In addition to this, Maldives will be placed on the ASTA World Destination guide.

The campaign content is designed to assist and train US travel trade professionals on how to market the island nation that will create maximum buzz among travelers.

MMPRC hopes the new destination marketing effort will provide US travel trades with first hand sales tips on the region, best times to visit the country and other relevant information such as the stringent safety measure and the naturally social-distanced unique geography.

Additionally, tourism properties include tourist resorts, local tourism segments, and liveaboards will be marketed through various content that ASTA will assist in disseminating.

According to MMPRC, the print edition of the ASTA World Destination guide will reach an estimate of more than 55,000 travel sales agents across the US while the digital version will be sent to over 20,000 ASTA members.
