The first vessel acquired by Maldives State Shipping (MSS), a subsidiary of State Trading Organization (STO), berthed at the port of Male’ City on Tuesday, 23rd November. Titled MSS Galena, which is the first cargo ship under the state-owned enterprise arrived in Male’ City with full cargo. US-Bangla, the largest private airline in Bangladesh has commenced their direct flights to Maldives. The airline’s maiden voyage to Maldives made landing sometime on Saturday at Velana International Airport (VIA), taking off from Bangladesh capital Dhaka. Meanwhile, the passengers traveling from the flight were greeted by the senior members and staff of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) upon arrival.
