Malaysia Airlines has announced it will be resuming direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Male’ starting on August 1, 2024.
The first resumption flight of the airline is scheduled for arrival on August 1, Thursday’s morning. The airline will be operating its Boeing 737-Dash 8 aircraft for the Maldives route.
Malaysia Airlines will be operating its direct flights to the Maldives throughout the week, on all 7 days.
Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), the operator of Velana International Airport (VIA), is set to host a welcoming ceremony for the arrival of the airline’s first resumption flight.
Senior officials of the Ministry of Tourism, MACL, the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), and the airline will be attending this welcoming ceremony at VIA.
Malaysia Airlines last operated direct flights in the Maldives in 2017.
