    MAHRP hosts 6th AGM

    MAHRP 6th Annual General Meeting

    The Maldives Association of HR Professionals (MAHRP) has held its 6th annual general meeting (AGM) on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Manhattan Business Hall.

    The event brought together MAHRP members, the executive committee, the advisory committee, and key collaborators to reflect on the organization’s achievements and plan for the future.

    During this AGM, the election for the new executive committee, who will lead MAHRP for the term spanning November 2024 to October 2026, was held.

    While speaking at the AGM, the Vice President for Membership and Growth, Hussain Afeef provided an overview of MAHRP’s recent initiatives and outlined strategic priorities for the upcoming term. Notable projects include:

    • Introduction of the MAHRP Competency Framework for HR Standards
    • National HR Surveys
    • Research on HR Capabilities

    The AGM also featured presentation on the 2023/2024 Annual Report and Financial Report.

    As for the newly elected executive committee members, they are:

    • Ahmed Ibrahim – President
    • Hussain Afeef – Vice President of Growth
    • Aishath Niha – Vice President of Membership
    • Ali Adam – General Secretary
    • Aminath Shazie – Secretary
    • Ibrahim Shareef – Treasurer
    • Fazla Ahmed – Executive Committee Member
    • Fathimath Rasha – Executive Committee Member
    • Fahdhulla Yaameen – Executive Committee Member
    • Fathimath Unaifath Ahmed – Executive Committee Member
    • Shehan Rajasinghe – Executive Committee Member

    In his closing remarks, President of MAHRP, Ahmed Ibrahim reaffirmed the association’s commitment to “driving meaningful conversations and actionable solutions to address the nation’s most pressing HR challenges.”
