The Registrar of Companies, Mariyam Visam has resigned from her position at the Ministry of Economic Development.
She confirmed her resignation to local media ‘Sun’ Online on Tuesday, and the outlet had quoted she resigned to pursue a career in the private sector.
Visam, who was appointed as the Registrar of Companies in 2014, holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing Management from Northumbria University, England and a Masters Degree in Business Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia.
Before she was appointed as the Registrar of Companies, she was the Director General of Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) where she previously held deputy manager and manager roles.
