Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has removed Mohamed Waheed from its board of directors.
Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) – the watchdog authority of state-owned enterprises – confirmed Mohamed Waheed’s removal from HDC’s board but did not specify the reason.
He was appointed to HDC’s board in December 2023. Prior to this, he had filled various and key roles at Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO).
While Mohamed Waheed has been removed from the board, HDC’s entire board was suspended earlier in December last year following allegations of corruption. However, the members were reinstated just four days after the suspension.
