The National Awards Committee has officially announced the opening of nominations for the 2025 National Awards, inviting applications from individuals, companies, associations, and institutions across the Maldives. The application window will open on Sunday, April 20, and will close on Thursday, May 29.

In a statement released by the committee, the public is urged to submit their applications to the President’s Office, addressed directly to the National Awards Committee, along with all required supporting documentation.

A total of 39 award categories will be open for nominations this year, covering a wide range of fields in recognition of outstanding national service and contributions to the development of the country.

As in previous years, nominations can be submitted directly by private individuals, organizations, and other entities without the requirement of going through a government agency. Government offices and independent institutions are also encouraged to submit nominations, ensuring inclusivity across both public and private sectors.

The National Awards are among the highest honors conferred by the state, recognizing exceptional achievements and contributions that support national progress and community well-being.

For further details regarding eligibility criteria and application requirements, interested parties are encouraged to contact the President’s Office or visit the official government website.
