President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu chaired a high-level working session on Tuesday at the President’s Office, focused on assessing the progress of the Government’s top-priority infrastructure projects. The session brought together Cabinet Ministers and Managing Directors from key State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), signaling the administration’s commitment to timely and efficient project delivery.

Participating SOEs included the State Trading Organization (STO) Plc, Waste Management Corporation Limited, Fenaka Corporation Limited, Road Development Corporation Limited (RDC), Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC), and Malé Water and Sewerage Company Pvt. Ltd. (MWSC).

During the session, each SOE head and Cabinet Minister provided President Muizzu with comprehensive updates on their assigned infrastructure projects. They discussed project timelines, current progress, and any challenges being faced during implementation.

President Muizzu emphasized the critical importance of completing all infrastructure projects within the designated timelines. He also addressed specific concerns raised by both ministers and SOE leaders, offering strategic direction and discussing measures to overcome bottlenecks and accelerate progress.

Highlighting transparency and accountability as pillars of his administration, the President encouraged regular public updates on the status of key projects. He stressed that timely completion and transparent communication were essential in earning public trust and delivering on the Government’s developmental agenda.

The working session reaffirmed the administration’s resolve to fast-track national development efforts and ensure that priority infrastructure initiatives remain on course.
